A striking late 19th Century collapsable chair of Northern Italian origin, richly decorated throughout with intricate geometric bone inlay. 
 
The elegantly splayed legs provide both stability and a sculptural silhouette, while the overall form reflects a strong Moorish influence. Circa 1890.
