Bleached Coral two is a wonderful delicate hand-carved alabaster sculpture by Mark Bowman, presented on a polished granite base. 
 
With is fan-like shape and fine carving it is a wonderfully calming and evocative work. The Bleached Coral series was created in response to the growing environmental challenges facing coral reefs around the world, exploring the fragility and changing nature of these vital marine ecosystems. As a keen sailor, the ocean has always been an important part of Mark’s life and a continuing source of inspiration for his work. Through this series, he reflects on both his personal connection to the sea and the urgent need to protect its delicate environments.
