A handsome pair of 19th Century continental walnut stools most probably Italian, each raised on elegantly scrolling cabriole legs and richly carved with masks and foliate motifs, joined by a shaped stretcher. 
 
Recently upholstered in warm brown velvet and finished with an olive and brown fringe trim.
